10 year-old Girl Sustains Serious Head Injury After Struck by Car

Brain InjuryTragedy struck a Marysville family yesterday afternoon as a 10-year-old girl when she rode her bicycle between parked cars into the path of a car. Policemen at the scene said that the driver had no time to react and could not avoid hitting her.

The girl was not wearing a helmet.

She was flown to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle where she is listed in critical condition with serious head injuries.

These scenarios are a parent’s worst nightmare and just drives home the point that no matter what age you are, a helmet can save you from a brain injury that can rob you of your speech, you ability to move, you senses, and even your personality.

If you or a loved one are a victim of a serious bicycle accident it is important that you call Phillips Webster for a consultation into your legal options.
