A white car of an unknown make and model may have hit an icy patch going eastbound on highway 16 during the early commute. From what can be seen on Washington Department of Transportation cameras located throughout the area, the car was the only car involved.
The Pierce County Sheriff’s office showed up as did a vehicle from the Fire department. The driver, though shaken, seemed to be uninjured as there were no medical crews on the scene of this car accident.
Th accident happened around 6:30 am. The scene has just cleared in the last 30 minutes to allow normal traffic flow.
After an unseasonably warm winter that was a stark contrast to last year’s snows which left made many roads dangerous, this year may deceive people into a false sense of security. Please keep in mind that the temperature still drops to or below freezing in the foothills and can leave the roads slick.
Please be careful out there.
If you or a loved one get into a car accident and seem to be getting nowhere with your insurance settlement, at some point it is best to get legal council to mediate. Call Phillips Webster for a consultation.
