Highway 9 Still Blocked from Noontime Commercial Vehicle Injury Accident

Commercial Vehicle AccidentA wreck between a small economy car or small sedan and a semi truck a couple of hours ago has resulted in injuries on the intersection of Highway 9 and Lundeen Parkway.

The crash happened around 12:30. The woman, who appeared to be in her mid to late 30’s was stuck in the wreckage and had to be pried out by medical crews that showed up at the scene,  said Lake Stevens Police Chief Randy Celori.

She was rushed off in an ambulance. There has been no report as to the extent of her injuries. Nor has there been a report on the driver of the commercial vehicle.

Investigators are still currently at the scene and have not yet revealed the cause of the injury accident.

Economy cars and other small cars are very hard to see in the mirrors of commercial vehicles. Many times commercial vehicle accidents happen when the semi truck is taking large turns creating significant blind spots for the truck driver. We urge extreme caution when driving low or small cars near commercial vehicles.
