Douglas Guy, 39, was headed eastbound SR 16 at Sidney Road in Port Orchard just after 5:15 p.m. when he went from the left lane to the right lane and hit the concrete overpass barrier. The impact ejected Guy into the air and hit a fence.
Medical units pronounced him dead at the scene.
Troopers continue to investigate what led up to the crash.
Our condolences go out to the family.
These kind of highway motorcycle accidents are fairly common especially when sunset is either in the face or rearview mirrors of larger vehicles. They could suddenly change lanes and they don’t even see a motorcyclist has wrecked behind them.
