Soldier Back for a Week When He is Seriously Injured by a Hit and Run Driver

Madigan Army Medical CenterArmy Ranger James Couch, 29, of Frederickson, was home just a week from Afghanistan when he was run down from behind by a hit-and-run driver on a Pierce County road Tuesday less than a mile from his home.

His wife Ashley was called to the scene as paramedics worked on his serious injuries. She saw him covered in blood and went with him as he was rushed to the hospital.

Couch is being treated at Madigan Army Medical Center for a broken leg, torn knee ligaments and road rash on his forehead deep enough to require stitches.

Pierce County Sheriff’s deputies are looking for a 1990s red Chevy pickup truck that was seen speeding away.

There really is no excuse for anyone being hit and left lying injured on the side of the road like that. Pedestrians sustain some of the worst personal injuries in a car accident. Not to help them is causing them even more harm particularly if they are left in the roadway.

If you or someone you know has been the victim of a hit and run accident then it is important that you find an attorney experienced in personal injury lawsuits to protect your rights and get you the compensation you deserve. Call Phillips Webster for a free consultation.
