Both cars were totaled and the four people were rushed to the hospital with injuries, although they were all released later in the evening.
The second accident occurred similarly when the driver of a Honda Civic slid on the highway and was subsequently hit by a Ford 250 pickup. Both accidents occurred near Cle Elum on Interstate 90. Charges are pending in both cases.
