Before joining Phillips Law Firm, Walton was a Judge Advocate (JAG) for the United States Air Force, trying over 40 Courts Martial. His last active duty assignment was as the Medical Law Consultant providing cutting-edge medical legal advice and training to over 6,000 personnel. Walton led dozens of cases to reduce or revoke medical privileges for doctors and nurses who violate their professional and ethical duties. He was the attorney for seven Air Force Medical Treatment Facilities, foiling lawsuits before they could materialize. As a former defender of hospitals, he is keenly experienced with complex medical law. Walton is proud to harnesses the experience from his prior service to help injured Washingtonians find justice.
Walton earned his bachelor’s degree from Virginia Tech through a full ROTC scholarship. He served in Operations Iraqi Freedom, Horn of Africa, and Enduring Freedom (Afghanistan). Three years after commissioning as an officer, Walton was awarded a position in the prestigious Funded Legal Education Program and earned his law degree from Indiana University Indianapolis School of Law. He is currently a JAG in the Washington Air National Guard and a member of the Washington State Bar Association.
